About Mom's Hidden Closet
  • Mom's Hidden Closet is a family owned variety store in Ignacio, Colorado, a small town 20 miles southeast of Durango.
  • We carry seasonal items, jewelry, gifts, educational supplies, and much much more.  Since we are small, we "change out" inventory for every holiday so the shopper has more selection.
  • In the summer of 2016, we will open our outdoor bargain center.  You could receive an extra 10%, 20%, 30%, 40%, or 50% off your entire purchase in store.

  • We are excited to have you visit us at 440 Goddard Avenue in Ignacio and hope you enjoy browsing through our eclectic mix of reasonably priced merchandise.

Historical Building
We invite you to browse through our treasure of yesteryear, named after our mother whose own closet was always filled with fun treasures and memories.  We hope you can create some of your own memories with items in our store.
Enjoy the scents of pine, cinnamon, and sweet vanilla year round.  Many of our fine gifts are housed in an antique sink and handcrafted original cupboards.
Mom's Hidden Closet, erected in the early 1900's, is an adobe building whose architectural structure is influenced by New Mexico's art.  This can be seen in its stepped facade, outdoor gable attic located in the back of the structure, and sunken entrance.
Most of the original windows and doors remain in tact.

This building has undergone some historic preservation and has been sanctioned by
Ignacio's Historical Society.
This building was the first and only blacksmith's shop in the town of Ignacio.  This year the town celebrates 100 years.
